Abstract
In a series of 99 patients with bleeding in the third trimester of pregnancy the absence of any maternal mortality and a gross fetal mortality of 8.9 per cent speak well for the conservative observation policy by which these patients were managed. Although cost of hospitalization is a drawback to the employment of this approach, it is more than compensated for by reduced operative interference and increased safety for mother and child.Entities:
