Abstract
Key elements in the management of gastroenterologic complications during pregnancy are knowledge of the natural history of the disease process, understanding the effects of pregnancy on the disease and of the disease on pregnancy, concern about fetal effects of medications, careful antepartum fetal assessment, and appropriate timing of the delivery. Vaginal delivery is preferred in most pregnancies complicated by gastrointestinal disease.Entities:
