Inflammatory bowel disease in pregnancy.

Abstract

This article provides the current state of knowledge on the interrelations between ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease and pregnancy and its multiple concerns, including inheriting inflammatory bowel disease, fertility, influence of inflammatory bowel disease activity on pregnancy and vice versa, the safety of drug therapy, and risk factors. The author provides some conclusions and his recommendations.
