Abstract
In this paper, earlier data on the length of prednisolone treatment are re-examined. Based on those data and supported by the literature and the author's own observations, it can be concluded that type I leprosy reaction should be treated with prednisolone for a longer period than the 12 weeks, advised by the WHO. The paper also warns against silent nerve damage that may occur when prednisolone is discontinued early.Entities:
