Abstract
Intracellular transport of secretory of proteins and many membrane proteins in eukaryotic cells commences with their translocation into or across the membrane of the rough endoplasmic reticulum. Several components of the cellular machinery that mediates this process have been elucidated using in vitro assays or by genetic means. An analysis of how they function will depend on the ability to reassemble them into translocation-competent lipid vesicles.Year: 1991 PMID: 14731858 DOI: 10.1016/0962-8924(91)90016-3
