Abstract
The centrosome organizes microtubules during both interphase and mitosis and therefore governs fundamental processes in the life of a eukaryotic cell. The past few years have seen a substantial increase in the identification of potential components localized at the centrosome. Although we are still far from achieving a coherent picture of the workings of the centrosome, these recent discoveries are promising first steps towards an understanding of centrosomal functions at the molecular level.Year: 1993 PMID: 14731766 DOI: 10.1016/0962-8924(93)90174-y
