Abstract
[reaction: see text] The asymmetric addition of HCN to hydrazones is catalyzed in high yield and good-to-excellent enantioselectivity by the easily prepared (PhPYBOX)ErCl3 complex. This constitutes the first example of asymmetric catalytic hydrocyanation of hydrazones.Entities:
