Abstract
Bronchiolitis obliterans (BO) is a manifestation of chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after allogeneic haemopoietic stem cell transplantation. Complications associated with this include persistent air-leak syndromes such as pneumothorax. Many methods have been described for treating this condition, both surgical and nonsurgical. We describe an 8-year-old boy with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia complicated by chronic GVHD-related BO, and subsequent pneumothorax with persistent air leak, who was treated successfully with autologous blood pleurodesis.Entities:
