Isolated hepatic granuloma mimicking congenital simple cyst of the liver possibly caused by tuberculosis.

Abstract

A case of hepatic granuloma resembling a simple cystic lesion of the liver in computed tomography with clinical manifestation of erythema nodosum is presented. The causes of hepatic granulomas and the importance of liver biopsy or exploratory laparotomy in their diagnosis are discussed with a review of the literature.
