J Moreton.

Abstract

A totally new immunisation (Hib) offers protection against the commonest cause of bacterial meningitis in the under fives. Judith Moreton describes the development and implementation of health education programmes in Oxfordshire to achieve a 90 per cent take-up in the first year, even among traveller gypsies, who are recognised as generally having poor immunisation uptake.
