Abstract
A possible association between hyperthyroidism and pulmonary hypertension has been reported. We describe 2 patients who had pulmonary hypertension associated with Graves' disease, both of whom experienced prompt hemodynamic and symptomatic recovery after normal thyroid function was restored. An autoimmune mechanism associated with vascular endothelial damage appears to have played a key pathogenic role in the development of pulmonary hypertension in these patients.Entities:
