Abstract
The cases of seven patients with different lesions of the base of the skull and the orbits are demonstrated, where CT was performed in horizontal and coronal sections. The results make obvious that only the combination of both planes can provide optimal information in these cases. The existence of a basal or orbital lesion, its size and location, and whether or not it penetrates through the base of the skull, can easily be detected. This is of great help in determining the therapy of choice, i.e. operability or radiation therapy treatment planning.Entities:
