Abstract
Ovarian cysts in the neonate vary in size. Most of the cysts are asymtomatic but complications occur such as tortion, autoamputation or rupture. We report a case of a 3-month-old infant with an autoamputation ovarian cyst detected on a prenatal ultrasound scan (USS). Postnatal USS confirmed the presence of the cyst which failed to resolve after a period of conservative management and therefore surgical removal was performed.Entities:
