NMR and microbiology: from physiology to metabolomics.

Abstract

Recent advances in the application of NMR to microbiology are reviewed. Instrumental and methodological developments are described. The advantages and the constraints of NMR are illustrated with examples from the literature. Recent work from the authors' laboratories, taken as representative of current research in the field, is described in more detail.
