Screening the environment.

Robert H Bradley1, Bettye M Caldwell1.

Abstract

Use of environmental as well as developmental measures in screening high-risk children is suggested as a solution to some of the problems of EPSDT and similar programs. Defects of present developmental screening instruments are discussed, and recent efforts to refine environmental measurement techniques are reviewed. The need for further research on the impact of environmental variables is stressed.
