Abstract
This study presents a series of eight patients with adenoid cystic carcinoma of the breast, a rare variant of breast cancer with special clinical and radiological characteristics that may lead to clinical misdiagnosis. Diagnosis may be made by core biopsy or fine needle aspiration cytology. Treatment by wide local excision followed by radiotherapy or mastectomy is necessary but axillary dissection can be avoided. Most of these patientshave an excellent prognosis.Entities:
