Abstract
A case of a 62-year-old male with suspected aortic dissection is presented. Echocardiography did not confirm the initial diagnosis and revealed the presence of thrombus in the inferior vena cava, right atrium and right ventricle. Computerised tomography, followed by histological examination of liver biopsy, revealed hepatic carcinoma. The patient received anticoagulation and unfortunately died 14 days later. Symptomatology of the right-heart thrombus and thrombo-embolic complications in patients with neoplastic disorders are discussed.Entities:
