Abstract
Because nurses' early recognition of patient problems is a key aspect in producing positive patient outcomes in acute care settings, the skill of early recognition, the language to describe it, and institutional support of the nurse to use it in a consistent way are critical to quality care. An important aspect of clinical judgment, the early recognition of patient problems is described from the perspective of medical-surgical nurses.Entities:
