Abstract
A 38-year-old woman who had used oral contraceptives continuously since age 22 presented with acute urinary retention. Physical examination revealed a bladder outlet obstruction due to a large paravaginal/broad ligament mass. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) demonstrated that the mass was separate from the uterus which was confirmed at surgery when an isolated free-standing leiomyoma was removed.Entities:
