Abstract
Melioidosis is a tropical infectious disease caused by the gram-negative bacterium Burkholderia pseudomallei. It is endemic in many parts of the world, including Southeast Asia, and has a mortality rate of about 45%. We report a case of localized nonfatal cutaneous melioidosis presenting as a persistent ulcer in an otherwise healthy young woman.Entities:
