Abstract
As a subgenre of biogerontology, biomarker research has developed a thoroughly tarnished reputation, and those who believe that biomarker studies should be a major focus in experimental aging research must now try to prove to their doubting colleagues that under the tarnish lies true metal, rather than more layers of tarnish. In this Perspective, the author argues that the discovery of biomarkers of aging is possible.Entities:
