Abstract
A case of primary malignant melanoma of the esophagus is reported, followed by a review of the literature. The clinical presentation of this uncommon tumor is similar to esophageal carcinoma and the preoperative diagnosis may be difficult. A total esophagectomy is the treatment of choice. The prognosis remains poor despite aggressive treatment.Entities:
