[Erosive polyarthritis in a patient with agammaglobulinaemia. Primary immunodeficiency diseases with rheumatic manifestations].

Dóra Mihola1, Balázs Frint, Zsolt Balogh.

Abstract

This article reviews the most common forms of primary immunodeficiencies with articular involvement: X-linked (Bruton's) agammaglobulinaemia, common variable immune deficiency and selective IgA deficiency. The most commonly observed types of arthritis in these disorders are benign, aseptic, characteristically non-erosive polyarthritis and infective arthritis caused by Mycoplasmas or Ureaplasmas. The authors present the case of a patient with immunodeficiency whose polyarthritis was found to be unusually severe and destructive.
