Abstract
We report two neonates with thrombosis of the aortic arch and isthmus diagnosed by echocardiography. Neonatal transient protein C deficiency was present in one patient and the other patient had severe perinatal asphyxia. Both patients presented with markedly reduced left ventricular function and severe aortic obstruction. In one infant, the thrombus was successfully removed surgically, and the second infant died due to serious complications of perinatal asphyxia.Entities:
