Abstract
A simple method of sample preparation for LC analysis of retinoic acid (RA) and retinoyl beta-glucuronide (RAG) in creams has been developed. Water-based cream of all trans-RAG, devoid of side effects but efficacious in the treatment of acne vulgaris, was found to be hydrolyzed to RA in a temperature dependant manner. The potential benefits of water-based RAG cream stored at room temperature for the treatment of acne and wrinkle is discussed.Entities:
