Abstract
Gadolinium-DTPA enhanced dynamic MR imaging is a new method for the quantification of portal bloodflow and liver perfusion. In this study we evaluated the validity of this method comparing it with thermodiffusion and dopplerflowmetry in pigs. We found a significant correlation of tissue perfusion between dMRI and thermodiffusion and of portal bloodflow between dMRI and dopplerflowmetry. Partial occlusion of the portal vene was accurately detected by dMRI. Dynamic MRI could become a valuable diagnostic method for the quantification of liver perfusion.Entities:
