Abstract
The authors report the clinical, echocardiographic, and pathologic findings in two patients treated with more than 5 mg of pergolide daily who developed symptomatic severe heart failure due to restrictive valvular disease. They also describe the echocardiographic data of another eight patients taking similar doses of pergolide presenting no clinical signs of heart failure. The findings suggest a possible role of high doses of pergolide in inducing restrictive valvular disease.Entities:
