Abstract
A study with a 2 x 2 factorial design was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of acupuncture, of nicotine gum and the effect of the association on smoking cessation. After a one-year follow-up period, the success rates were in the same order of magnitude for nicotine gum (active treatment: 10%, placebo: 8%) group and for acupuncture (active treatment: 8%, placebo: 10%) group.Entities:
