Abstract
The local complications resulting from BCG vaccination in new-born babies and pre-school children in Taiwan are discussed. The author points out that severe local reactions at the site of vaccination are rare, but that the frequency of regional glandular enlargement and abscess formation is alarmingly high-particularly among new-born babies-and there is a danger of the prestige of BCG vaccination being lowered in consequence.Entities:
