SYNERGISM BETWEEN A LACTATE DEHYDROGENASE-ELEVATING VIRUS AND EPERYTHROZOON COCCOIDES.

V RILEY.

Abstract

An interaction occurs when a lactate dehydrogenase-elevating virus and Eperythrozoon coccoides are present together in the mouse host. The synergism is expressed by a substantial increase in plasma lactate dehydrogenase, spleen enlargement, host anemia, and quantitative alteration of several blood elements.
