Abstract
The case-report describes the unusual formation of a bilious pleural effusion or "cholethorax" revealing a common bile duct injury secondary to laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Pleural drainage led to a diagnostic ERCP. Subsequently a Roux en Y hepatico-jejunostomy allowed a satisfactory outcome.Entities:
