Peptic ulcer in hospital. An analysis of a 10 per cent in-patient enquiry throughout England and Wales.

Abstract

This study corresponds to an estimated 142,250 admissions for peptic ulcer to the wards of National Health Service hospitals in England and Wales during the two years 1956 and 1957. It presents a picture of the incidence and mortality of complications and surgical treatment throughout England and Wales.
