Forced march-induced peroneal compartment syndrome. A report of two cases.

Abstract

Isolated exertional peroneal compartment syndrome is rare. Two cases are described after prolonged forced march in highly conditioned United States Marines. Measured compartment pressures were over 100 mm Hg. No permanent impairment resulted after surgical decompression.
