Abstract
A Turkish baby was treated several times for bilateral "recurrent dendritic keratitis" before a diagnosis of Richner-Hanhart syndrome could be made (recessively inherited keratosis palmaris et plantaris with pathognomonic corneal dystrophy). No effective conservative treatment has been reported in the literature for the recurrent eye pain. Highly hydrophilic contact lenses gave prompt and absolute symptomatic relief.Entities:
