Monitoring, medical fears and physical symptoms.

P Muris1, F van Zuuren.

Abstract

In this study it was found that subjects with a high monitoring coping style had higher scores on the blood injury scale of the Fear Questionnaire and reported more physical symptoms on the Pennebaker Inventory of Limbic Languidness than those with a low monitoring style. Implications of these findings are briefly discussed.
