Abstract
In acute experiments in dogs cortisone and hydrocortisone increase the concentration and output of bicarbonate in pancreatic secretion whereas prolonged administration of these hormones leads to a diminished bicarbonate response. In both acute and chronic experiments, however, cortisone and hydrocortisone produce an increased output of the enzymes amylase and trypsin.Entities:
