Abstract
Reversible binding of cytoplasmic enzymes to structural elements of the cell is one of mechanisms of in vitro regulation of enzyme properties. The results on lactate dehydrogenase interactions with myofibrillar proteins and membranes and the changes in enzyme properties induced by these interactions (modification of kinetic parameters and stability) are analyzed. A hypothesis is proposed concerning the functional role of reversible lactate dehydrogenase interactions with structural components of the cell during glycolysis activation.Entities:
