Amygdaloid suppression of hypothalamically elicited attack behavior.

Abstract

Electrodes were implanted in the hypothalamus and in the amygdala of adult cats. Electrical stimulation of the amygdala suppressed attack behavior elicited by the hypothalamic stimulation.
