Abstract
Antigens from a wide variety of pathogens have been identified as members of conserved heat-shock protein families, sharing upwards of 50% amino acid identity with corresponding host-cell proteins. Analysis of the responses to these conserved antigens may provide insights into regulation of the immune system during infection and autoimmunity.Entities:
