Abstract
The authors describe a patient with Budd-Chiari syndrome caused by long segmental thrombotic obstruction of the inferior vena cava associated with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria. The patient was successfully treated with a combination of local thrombolytic therapy, balloon angioplasty, and placement of Gianturco expandable metallic stents.Entities:
