Abstract
Using trypsin-Giemsa banding, a total of 1,350 unrelated Chinese fetuses were studied for pericentric inversion of chromosome 9 [inv(9) (p11; q13)]. Sixteen cases (1.2%) were found to have this variant. The prevalence was higher than that in a previous report on Asians. All the fetuses with inv(9) were born with a normal phenotype.Entities:
