Abstract
We report two serologically verified cases of nephropathia epidemica (NE) who developed high serum levels of non-Goodpasture IgM antibodies against glomerular basement membrane (anti GBM) in the acute phase of the disease. Moreover, in one of the patients a renal biopsy showed granular deposits of complement factor 3 along the glomerular capillary walls. The possible pathogenic significance of these findings is discussed.Entities:
