Abstract
We report on a 20-year-old man who had scrub typhus with the unusual neurologic complication of brachial plexus neuropathy. The clinical features of fever, headache, pneumonitis, eschar, high Weil-Felix OX-K agglutination and Rickettsia tsutsugamushi immunofluorescence titers confirmed the diagnosis of scrub typhus. Brachial plexus neuropathy was proven by an electrophysiologic examination. He had a nearly complete recovery after adequate medical treatment.Entities:
