Abstract
The most commonly encountered variant of choledochal cyst (type I) is characterized by fusiform dilatation of the bile duct. Patients usually come to medical attention within the first decade of life. The diagnosis is readily established by ultrasound or computed tomography. Choledochal cyst has been diagnosed in the fetus by maternal ultrasound. Treatment is by surgical excision.Entities:
