[Primary meningioma of the geniculate ganglion: apropos of a case].

Based on a clinical observation and a literature review, etiologic hypothesis, clinical, radiological and therapeutics characteristics of intratympanic primitive meningioma are described. Those tumors arise from arachnoid cells, some may be carried along the nerve sheath within the Fallopian canal during embryology.
