A simple and rapid technique for suture ligation during laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

S Kitano1, M Moriyama, K Sugimachi.

Abstract

During laparoscopic cholecystectomy, it is difficult to separate and resect an inflamed cystic duct. This difficulty derives mainly from the lack of a simple and rapid technique of manually ligating the cystic duct. We describe herein a technique that facilitates manual ligation using ordinary silk sutures.
