Abstract
Nedocromil sodium depolarized the isolated rabbit vagus nerve. The depolarization was blocked by DIDS (4,4'-diisothiocyanostilbene-2,2'-disulphonic acid) and did not occur when the nerve was bathed in solutions low in chloride. After depolarization the nerve was refractory to nedocromil sodium for an hour. It is suggested that nedocromil sodium can affect a chloride channel.Entities:
