Abstract
Anal leukoplakia is catalogued as precancerous because of the high incidence of malignant transformation found in lesions of this type.Biopsy must be done to substantiate the clinical diagnosis of leukoplakia, to demonstrate the stage of the process, and to indicate the proper effective therapeutic approach. Surgical excision is advisable in the early stage to avoid later carcinomatous changes and mutilating operations necessary for advanced malignant growth. Three cases of leukoplakia involving the anoderm of the anal canal are presented herewith.Entities:
