Abstract
Eighteen women of reproductive age underwent laparoscopic management of unilateral ovarian benign cystic teratoma from 3 to 7 cm in diameter. Nine patients received pelviscopic enucleation of ovarian cysts and nine patients received unilateral oophorectomy or salpingo-oophorectomy. No major surgical complication was encountered and the hospital stay was short. Our series suggest that operative laparoscopy is a safe and effective method in the management of benign cystic teratoma.Entities:
