Abstract
A small percentage of cases of laryngeal disease may present an atypical appearance on the routine methods of laryngeal examination. The atypical appearance is usually due to situation of the lesion in whole or in part beneath an intact mucosa. All available methods of diagnosis should be used in these cases in an attempt to establish the correct diagnosis and to formulate a plan for treatment. Tomography, aspiration and exploratory thyrotomy are of value in such cases.Entities:
